Description:

Issue

The use of channel 144 on AP120, AP320, AP322, and AP420 devices managed by Wi-Fi Cloud or locally managed by a Gateway Wireless Controller results in significant communications issues with some wireless clients.

Workaround/Solution

Configure the AP device to use a different channel other than 144.For AP devices managed by Wi-Fi Cloud: Open Manage.Select Configuration > Device Configuration > Device Template.Select the Device Template applied to your AP device.Expand the Radio Settings and select your AP device model. If Auto channel selection is enabled, expand the Candidate Channels section and clear the check box for channel 144.If Manual channel selection is enabled, switch to a different channel. Save the device template. For AP devices managed by a Gateway Wireless Controller on a Firebox: Click Network > Gateway Wireless Controller.Click the Access Point tab.Edit the settings for an AP device.Click the Radio Settings tab.Set the Preferred Channel to a different channel.
