Description:

Issue

In some cases, wireless clients might be able to send traffic to the Internet before they authenticate to a Wi-Fi Cloud Captive Portal. This issue occurs if your Wi-Fi Cloud configuration includes device templates created previous to the release of Wi-Fi Cloud 8.6 and its associated AP firmware.

Workaround/Solution

To resolve this issue: Log in to Wi-Fi Cloud.Open Manage.Select Configuration > Device Configuration > Device Templates.Open the device template that applies the Captive Portal Guest SSIDs to your APs.Make any change to the device template, then click Save. This forces any APs associated to the device template to reboot and download a new template.
