Description:

Issue

In some cases, if the available storage on a XTM 2-Series device (25/26/25-W, 26-W) is low, changes to device configuration can fail. This occurs when the Firebox has Fault Reports in device storage, and is more likely when AP device firmware is stored on your Firebox. When this occurs, the Firebox generates log messages that could look like this: Jun 23 16:14:57 2017 HomeOffice local3.err dvcpcd[1615]: **Error: unable to save config - No such file or directory If you use Policy Manager to attempt a configuration change, you will see an error message like: Error communicating with Firebox 10.0.1.1 INTERNAL_ERROR: unable to set config <error>Config /full FAILED <error> If you use Web UI to save your configuration, you could see this error message: Unable to save configuration.

Workaround/Solution

Fault Reports To remove the most common and immediate cause of this storage issue, you can send the available Fault Reports to WatchGuard, and delete them from your Firebox. For more information, see Manage Fault Reports in Fireware Help AP Device Firmware By default, your Firebox has AP firmware stored in the memory, regardless of whether your Firebox manages any AP devices. In a future Fireware release, this firmware will not be stored on your Firebox. Web UI To delete AP firmware from your Firebox: 1.
