Description:
Issue
If you try to use Policy Manager to install AP firmware on a Firebox XTMv instance for the AP100/102/200/300, the installation fails with an error message that looks like this: Your XTMv device is a 64-bit VM with Fireware v12.0. You cannot downgrade it to Fireware v11.10.x or lower.
Workaround/Solution
We recommend you use Gateway Wireless Controller to download AP firmware directly. For instructions, see https://www.watchguard.com/help/docs/help-center/en-US/Content/en-US/Fireware/wireless/ap_firmware_updates_c.html. If you need to manually install AP firmware on your Firebox, you can successfully use the Firebox Web UI.
