Description:

Issue

In some cases, the Dimension upgrade from v1.3 to v2.1 will fail to correctly update the database schema. If this happens, the Dimension database will not start, and shows the status Upgrade Pending. This issue occurs most often if scheduled report tasks are configured in Dimension.

Workaround/Solution

In the Dimension Web UI, browse to System Settings > Status and click Reboot. The Dimension system reboots.Use an archive tool, such as 7-Zip to open the Dimension upgrade file watchguard-dimension_2_1_apt.tgz and the watchguard-dimension_2_1_apt.tar file contained within. Note These file names are for a failed update to Dimension v2.1. Please adjust the file names in these instructions as necessary if you upgrade to a different version. In the archive, open the /pool/ folder, and then the /pool/main/ folder.Extract the file watchguard_dimension_2_1_amd64.deb to your computer. In the Dimension Web UI, browse to System Settings> Status and click Upgrade.Use the .deb file to upgrade your Dimension system. After you complete this process, you must open each scheduled report, and click Restart.
