Description:

Issue

When the Firebox tries to update a DynDNS server with its new IP address, sometimes the DynDNS server returns an error message, such as a 503 Service Unavailable message. When the occurs, the Firebox does not try to update the DynDNS server again until there is another IP address change. The Firebox will update the IP address if: The configured Forced Update time elapses.A change is made to the external interface, such as a DHCP renewal or interface configuration change.

Workaround/Solution

You can install the DynDNS client application on a computer in your network. The DynDNS client can update the DynDNS server with your IP address even when DynDNS is not enabled on your Firebox.
