When you upgrade a Firebox with DynDNS enabled to Fireware v11.11.1, the OSS process on the Firebox will crash frequently. When this occurs, you could see: The Firebox fails to provide DHCP addresses to network devices.Log messages include frequent "Stack Trace" messages. The CPU indicator on the Fireware Web UI Front Panel will show 50-80% CPU use, or higher.
If this problem occurs on your Firebox, we recommend that you disable DynDNS in your Firebox configuration. To update your IP address with the DynDNS service, you can instead use the DynDNS software client installed on a computer on your local network. To disable DynDNS from Fireware Web UI: Select Network > Dynamic DNS.Select the external interface on which DynDNS is enabled and click Configure. The Dynamic DNS / External page appears.Clear the Enable Dynamic DNS for interface check box.Click Save.Repeat steps 2-4 for each external interface on which DynDNS is enabled.
