Issue
Mobile VPN with SSL installations fail on Mac OS versions 10.8 and higher with this error message:The following installation step failed: run postinstall script for tun/tap kernal extensions.The installation is stopped by a new security feature in Mac OS 10.8, called Gatekeeper (http://www.apple.com/osx/what-is/security.html), which blocks installation of any applications developed without an Apple Developer ID.
Workaround/Solution
You can force a manual installation of the Mobile VPN with SSL client using these steps: Open the Mobile VPN with SSL client .dmg disk image file.Right-click on the .mpkg installation package file.From the drop-down menu, select Open. A warning message appears that this program is from an unknown developer.Click Open.
