Issue
If HTTP requests from your Dimension installation must pass through an HTTP proxy server, Dimension upgrades can fail with an error message like this:Operation failed. Reason: Error installing packages from file /var/opt/watchguard/dimension/upload/upload.853d91c7-bcd8-4db7-a764-a1684d7e6838.deb; E: Encountered a section with no Package: header E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_precise_universe_binary-amd64_Packages E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.This occurs when the HTTP proxy server interrupts file downloads from the Ubuntu file repositories. This issue was originally reported with Symantec Web Gateway, but could occur with other HTTP proxy servers as well.
Workaround/Solution
In your HTTP proxy server, configure exceptions for security.ubuntu.com and archive.ubuntu.com.
