In some cases, when you use a Group Policy Object (GPO) to install the Logon app on a Windows computer, the installation succeeds but the Logon app does not appear in the Apps & Features list in the Windows settings. In this scenario, if you want to uninstall the Logon app, you must do so manually.
The workaround for this issue depends on whether you can log in to the system with the Logon app installed. If you cannot log in to the system with the Logon app installed: Note: If the AuthPoint Agent for Windows appears in the Windows Apps & Features list, this method will not work. Important: We recommend that you back up the registry before you edit it. Registry edits can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall the operating system. Some problems might not be resolvable. Edit the registry at your own risk. For more information about the registry, see Windows registry information for advanced users in the Windows documentation. Boot the operating system in Safe Mode.Run regedit, and remove these registry keys and values: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{BCB72349-6C97-4E3F-94B5-6EA045F85CA5}HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\Credential Providers\{BCB72349-6C97-4E3F-94B5-6EA045F85CA5}HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\Credential Providers Filters{BCB72349-6C97-4E3F-94B5-6EA045F85CA5} Reboot the system. If you can log in to the system with the Logon app installed or have removed the registry keys in Safe Mode: Contact Support and request an older version of the Logon app. Note: You must download the wlconfig.cfg file to install the older version of the Logon app. Manually install the older version of the Logon App.When asked to reboot the system, select No.Immediately uninstall the older version of the Logon App.Reboot the system.
