Description:

Issue

If you have recently removed an AP from cloud management in Wi-Fi Cloud, and changed to local management to manage the AP from the Gateway Wireless Controller on a Firebox, the AP might remain in the "Discovered" status, but cannot be paired or configured by the Gateway Wireless Controller.

Workaround/Solution

If you upgraded the AP to firmware v13.x or higher while the AP was managed by Wi-Fi Cloud, the device will not be able to be paired and configured by the Gateway Wireless Controller on a Firebox. The latest supported firmware release for locally-managed APs with a Gateway Wireless Controller on a Firebox is v11.0.0-36-4.You must downgrade the firmware version to v11.0.0-36-4. For instructions on how to downgrade the AP in Wi-Fi Cloud, go to Update AP Firmware in Wi-Fi Cloud. You can also download the firmware from software.watchguard.com and install the firmware with the AP command line interface which requires assistance from a WatchGuard Support representative.
